The short & sweet. If your kiddos take a bit to warm up to new people, I suggest sticking with a Full Session to get the most for your time.

Petite sessions will take place at an outdoor location chosen by photographer, in my studio, or another location agreed upon by both of us.


These sessions, if outdoors, will always be held prior to a a full session, meaning these will not be golden hour sessions. If in studio, time will be discussed when booking.

What kind of photographer are you?

I am 100% a lifestyle photographer. I want to tell your story, just how it is in that exact moment. Being a mom, I know how important that one posed, everyone smiling picture is (and don't worry I will still get a few of those for you), but I have grown to love the pictures of real, raw moments of our family. The ones where you can feel the love, feel the connection, hear those belly laughs from your kids, feel those snuggles. Crazy, perfect, fun, chaotic, I am here for all of it! Letting kids be kids, truly creates the best images, and tells your story best.

Will you help with outfits/style for my session?

Absolutely! Outfits can really help to knock a session out of the park, and I'm here to help you make that happen. I will start by saying neutrals, neutrals, neutrals. I am a sucker for a good set of neutrals outfits & they just photography SO well in every season, lighting & location. I have an online styling resource that I offer to all of my clients with a booked session, and have also slowly been adding to my client closet.

What time of day will my session take place?

Indoor studio/in-home sessions will typically be held in the morning hours due to best indoor natural lighting. My studio is located on the cutest historic building on Main Street in Mt. Horeb WI


I am a golden hour LOVER, so outdoor sessions will be held 1.5-2 hours before sunset depending on your session location. Mini sessions are before full golden hour evening sessions, so sometimes those will be sooner depending on location.


Location will be discussed when booking your session, and we will find a location that fits your vibes & vision for your session. Don't worry I have lots of recommendations!

How long does it take to receive the final photos?

My turn around time is typically 3-4 weeks but sometimes is a tad longer in my busiest seasons.

When should I plan for maternity & newborn sessions

Maternity-

I recommend between 32-36 weeks, but always tell moms, it's best to schedule your maternity session when YOU feel ready.

Newborn-

Within 6-21 days of birth are ideal, but newborn sessions can be held at anytime.


I recommend to mothers to schedule newborn sessions 3-4 months in advance. Typically we wait to schedule your newborn session date until after baby makes their arrival.

What locations do you recommend for outdoor sessions?

The majority of my outdoor sessions are in the Mount Horeb, Blue Mounds, Verona, Middleton, West Madison area just due to my location. I am open to other location ideas, just know that depending on travel distance for me, there may be a small additional travel fee if the miles total more than 30 miles roundtrip. Please be sure you're open to traveling. to these areas for your session, or lets chat prior to booking!
